About Your Sidekick
Why Does The Sidekick Effect Exist?
Hi, I'm Kristie and The Sidekick Effect exists because I've needed that extra set of hands too.
In my corporate career, I led strategic projects across the Magistrates Courts, Justice Departments, Gambling Regulation, and led customer experience channels in local government. These roles called for human-centred thinking, empathy, organisation, leadership, wisdom and common sense at every turn.
I've got a family, two dogs, and a household of my own — and I've had my own experiences of that cluttered wardrobe, remembering to find a pet sitter before the family holiday, fitting my schedule around my mum's medical appointments, moving house with project deadlines all at once. I know you know what I'm talking about!
Along the way, I found that I'm naturally drawn to helping people. Making a difference has always been important to me - it's simply who I am.
I'm also one of 'the Sandwich Generation' — supporting an ageing parent, still raising a family, and working. I understand first-hand the care that takes, the extra uncounted hours that come with being available, and needing to keep multiple balls in the air.
That's what brought me to The Sidekick Effect — wanting to be the solution for people who've felt what I have. I see a genuine need around me for people needing additional help, and hesitant to ask for the things we're all supposed to manage solo. It's not medical or technical support — it's the stuff around the edges. The life admin support.
So, I made a choice: instead of just getting myself through it, I wanted to be the solution for others. Someone who steps in with care, not judgement — who can remove that pressure you may be feeling.
What's most gratifying for me is seeing The Sidekick Effect in action — the load lightens, shoulders relax, and life suddenly feels manageable again.
If you'd like to experience The Sidekick Effect, I'm here to help — in return, you'll be getting a trusted provider with capability, expertise, discretion and empathy, brought together to support you, so you can make space for what matters.
Take care of you,
Kristie
